Trend Analysis of Contraceptive Usage and Reasons of Low Contraceptive Use in Pakistan: A Narrative Review on Available Literature

The Pakistani government has been struggling continuously to slow down the population rise despite making easy accessibility of family planning services. Various factors including economic crisis, poverty, unemployment, and inflation have identified that influence practices leading a low contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR). main aim this review was understand positive negative predictors trends use. Pakistan, currently facing issues high morbidity mortality mother child as consequence CPR secondary risk unplanned and/or teenage pregnancies, abortion, miscarriages. Low produces drastic effect on nation's economy, growth causes uncontrolled urbanization. Old age, education, mothers' employment, wealth, better lifestyle influences while it is evident rural life, traditional religion, illiteracy, non-working mothers, fear side effects, etc. navigate CPR. Although contraception in terms modern techniques increased Pakistan over past two decades, still there need for efforts increase among reproductive fertile age groups. Further, interventions such provision affordable facilitating access women near their homes, improving awareness must be targeted priority.
